The faithful of Callao once again took to the streets in procession, this time for the feast of Corpus Christi. As is the custom in many Latin countries, the streets were covered with carpets of flowers of beautiful designs to honor our Lord. We joined the community, walking the streets as Jesus once did, stopping at four different altars that represented the four corners of the earth. Here we prayed and received a solemn blessing. What better way to witness the Body of Christ than to proclaim it in public Eucharistic adoration.
MORE VISITORS!
Presently the San Antonio Community is enjoying the company of four visitors from the states. Ellie, Jess, Tracey, and Colleen are here as part of a university theology course. They are assisting at various levels throughout the school teaching English and loving every minute. Most of their time has been spent here at CSA but they have also traveled to the other IHM convents and schools in Peru to experience each mission. Other trips have been cultural as seen in the photo of the girls with a dancer in Peruvian costume. It has been a joy and a blessing to share this time together with each of them.
