"Glory to God in the highest and peace to His people on earth"
This first Christmas greeting given by the angels to the shepherds, expresses our prayers and Christmas wishes for you and your loved ones. May this Season of joy and the peace of Christ fill your hearts and hour homes. As you gather with family around the Christmas Tree and unwrap your gifts, may you realize the greatest gift of God our Father, His Son, Jesus, our savior. May the New Year hold for you and your family, confident faith, persevering hope, and selfless love! Know of special remembrance in our school community's prayers each day!
ADVANCED APPRECIATION AND APPLAUSE
Gratitude is expressed to Ms. Molly Welch, Mrs. Sally Kish, Sister Lorraine, our teachers, and students for their enthusiasm in working to bring to our school community the Spirit of Christmas and the peace of this Holy Season at our Christmas concert and pageant which was held on Tuesday December 11th in the Church.
Let's give HSA a special "round of applause" for ringing in the Christmas Spirit by sponsoring the annual craft fair. We thank all those who volunteered and for making it such a jolly experience. Thanks too for providing a special breakfast with Santa for children of all ages (does anyone know Santa's favorite breakfast?) and for providing "Christmas" shopping for our students through Santa's Secret Shop being held December 10th through the 12th. NO PEEKING!
Special Mention and congratulations goes to two of our sixth graders, Elizabeth C. and Mason P. for their achievement of first honors on their first quarter report card. Their names were inadvertently left off the list. It has now been corrected on the web site.
On Monday, December 3rd, we had our 2007-2008 sports season "kick off" with a spirited pep rally. We wish all our teams good luck, team spirit, and good sportsmanship as they play each game in the name of St. Matthew School.
